Social media packages
in India (2026)

What you actually get at each price point, what drives the cost up or down, and how to compare agency quotes without paying for vanity metrics.

If you have asked three agencies for a social media quote, you have probably received three very different numbers — and three very different ideas of what “social media marketing” means. This guide breaks down what Indian brands typically get at each price point in 2026, what drives the cost, and how to compare quotes fairly.

The ranges below are indicative. They vary by city, category, agency experience and how much video production is involved. Use them to sense-check proposals, not as a fixed rate card.

What a social media marketing package should include

A real social media package is more than a number of posts. At minimum it should cover:

  • Strategy — audience, positioning, content pillars and the role social plays in your funnel
  • Content production — design, copywriting, Reels and short video, captions and hashtags
  • Publishing and scheduling across the platforms that matter for your audience
  • Community management — replies to comments and DMs, moderation and escalation
  • Reporting — reach, engagement, saves, shares, profile actions and, where possible, leads or sales

Paid social (Meta and YouTube ads), influencer collaborations and UGC are often add-ons. Check whether they are included before comparing prices.

Indicative social media package pricing in India (2026)

Starter: roughly ₹20,000–₹50,000 per month

Suitable for small local businesses and early-stage brands. Typically 10–15 designed posts and a few simple Reels a month on one or two platforms, basic captions, scheduling and a monthly report. Community management is often limited, and video is usually lightly edited from footage you supply.

Growth: roughly ₹50,000–₹1.5 lakh per month

The most common tier for growing D2C, service and B2B brands. Expect a content strategy, 12–20 pieces a month with a strong share of Reels, on-location or studio shoots, daily community management, trend-led content and a monthly review with recommendations. Many growth packages also include management of a modest Meta ad budget.

Full-service: roughly ₹1.5 lakh+ per month

For brands where social is a major sales and brand channel. This usually includes a dedicated team, regular production days, creator and UGC programmes, paid social management, social listening, campaign launches and detailed reporting tied to business outcomes. At this level the work behaves like a full-funnel system rather than a posting service.

What drives the cost up or down

  • Video volume and quality — Reels with shoots, scripting and editing cost more than static posts, and usually perform better.
  • Number of platforms — Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube and X each need native content, not copies.
  • Community management hours — busy accounts with lots of DMs and comments need more people time.
  • Creators and UGC — influencer collaborations and UGC videos add fees for creators and usage rights.
  • Paid social management — running ads well needs testing, tracking and analysis; it is a skill on its own.
  • Industry and approvals — regulated categories like finance and healthcare need more review time.

How to compare social media agency quotes

When proposals look different, put them side by side on the same questions:

  • How many pieces of content, and how many of them are Reels or video?
  • Who shoots the content, and how often?
  • Is community management included, and for how many hours a day?
  • Is the ad budget separate from the agency fee? Is there a media markup?
  • Which metrics will they report, and how do those connect to leads or sales?
  • Who owns the content, pages and ad accounts if you stop working together?

Be careful with very cheap packages that promise “30 posts a month”. Volume without strategy rarely moves the business, and recycled templates can make a brand look generic. Our guide on how to choose a digital marketing agency covers more red flags.

What results to expect, and when

The first month is usually about setting up the strategy, visual system and production rhythm. Months two and three are where you learn which formats and hooks work for your audience. Meaningful growth in reach and enquiries typically shows after three months of consistent posting and testing, faster if paid social and creators are supporting the organic content.

Judge social media on the actions it creates — profile visits, website clicks, saves, shares, DMs, leads and sales — not on follower count alone.

Frequently asked questions

How much does social media marketing cost per month in India?

Indicative ranges in 2026 are roughly ₹20,000–₹50,000 per month for a basic managed package, ₹50,000–₹1.5 lakh for a growth package with video and community management, and ₹1.5 lakh+ for full-service programmes. Paid ad budgets are usually separate.

Is ad spend included in social media packages?

Usually not. Most agencies charge a management or retainer fee and the media budget for Meta or YouTube ads is billed separately, so always ask for the two numbers to be shown apart.

How many posts should a social media package include?

Quantity matters less than consistency and quality. For most brands, 3–4 strong posts and Reels a week with active community management beats daily low-effort posting.

Should I choose a monthly package or a project?

Social media compounds over time, so ongoing monthly work is usually better than one-off projects. A 3-month initial commitment gives enough time to test content and see what works.

Can a package include influencer and UGC content?

Yes. Many brands add creator collaborations or UGC videos to their package because they perform well on Instagram and can be reused as ads.
